Our History

Scotts grandfather built our brick home in 1952. It has been in the family ever since.  Yelm had a hardware store on yelm ave, which is where his grandfather worked. He owned the hardware store and it was passed down to his father and then purchased by scott. true value hardware was owned and operated by the demich family for 72 years before we had to close the doors during the decline of 2007-2009.  Scott went into the mortgage industry and I started renovation of the guest house that sits in back of our property. we started air bnb/vrbo with that property the following year with the long term goal of creating a wedding venue.  we decided that 10 years was an appropriate timeline to start a wedding venue, being that we had not yet aquired the property next door to us,  had no parking and no privacy trees.  the field was just a hay field that used to graze horses. our third year in, we we approached the neighbors and asked if purchasing would be a future option.  By pure miracle, we were able to purchase what we now have as the wedding venue and started planting the perimeter trees to create the dream.  We called the venue farm to fancy.  We have just changed the name of the venue to iron trellis, with the head company still named farm to fancy LLC
